1. Don’t Invest More Than You Can Afford To Lose

Make sure you only use capital you have spare. Trading capital should only be money you can afford to lose. Start small and deposit more if you have more money available. Don’t put all your savings at once into a trading account. This should be your golden rule of your Crypto trading risk management.

2. Diversify If You Can: Try To Never Put All Your Eggs In One Basket

This can be hard if you only have one Cryptocurrency and very little capital to trade with. However, you should try to diversify your trading portfolio as much as possible. You could, for example, invest 80% in the coin you strongly believe is going to make you money and 20% in another coin. 

When diversifying try using different technologies/trading styles of coins.

3. Don’t Try To Win In Every Trade

If you enter the world of trading Crypto you are going to have losses. Everyone does. Keep tight stop losses and stick to them.

4. Never Get Too Greedy

A hard rule to follow. You need to take profit at some point. You don’t necessarily need to sell all of your holdings at once. Siphon off a small portion, say 20 to 25%, and wait a few days before selling the rest.

5. Loose The Fear Of Missing Out (FOMO)

So you’ve seen a huge rise in the last few hours and you think it’s going to continue. Well, it may or it may not! FOMO is a powerful emotion and should be avoided as much as you can.

6. Make The Most Of Your Winning Trades

Don’t sell as soon you’ve broken even or have a small profit. If it looks like there is still some life in the trade stay in but be ready to get out if it starts to go the other way.

7. Learn From Your Trading Mistakes And Don’t Make Them Again.

Everyone makes mistakes. The secret isn’t to get upset by them it’s to learn from them and do your best not to repeat them.

If you didn’t get the result you were expecting then ask yourself what you could have done better. If you have a winning strategy then there’s no need to keep changing it but if you loosing all the time then something is definitely wrong.

8. Set Stop Losses To Minimize Your Losses.

If you are a frequent trader then you need to minimize losses by keeping tight stop losses. Don’t trade too much!! You will loose your capital.

9. Try To Keep Emotions At Bay

Try to keep calm and follow your strategy. Don’t panic if a trade starts to go wrong. Stick to  your strategy.

10. Sell The News And Buy The Rumors

It’s an old adage but markets do react to hard news and yet markets frequently underestimate rumors.

In this article I went through 10 common mistakes made by traders. There are, of course,  more than 10 mistakes you can make when trading.

Cryptocurrencies are relatively new and there are many opportunities out there. But be careful!!

As Crypto is still so new the tools for effective trading are also still new and volatility is all over the place.

Remember to always learn from your mistakes and optimize your strategy.

If you are ready to start trading I would recommend you do some research into reliable companies.

Personally I like to use Binance as it’s been around for over 3 years and does around 2Billion in daily transactions and nearly 1,5 million transactions per second.

I highly recommend this course by Mike Pearson. It’s a couple of years old but he keeps updating it.

The course is over 15 hours long and is in 6 modules with a ton of bonus packages added on. You will learn everything you need to know about niche marketing and analysis of competitors.

There is a private Facebook page that goes with it where you can ask any of the 2.7K members any questions. It’s a great community and everyone is very friendly. They also put on updates showing how the course has really made an impact on their SEO achievements.
